Directions to 2515 Tolman Hall
If driving and using a pre-arranged parking pass:
Drive to the intersection of University Ave. and Oxford St. This is where the West Entrance for UC campus is located - proceed onto the semi-circular drive. The Kiosk located there is where you pick up your campus parking pass. Just give your name and they will give you the pass.
To get to the nearest parking lot, Genetics Parking Garage, drive back to Oxford. Turn right (north) and go one short block up to Berkeley Way, which will be on your left. On the right is the entrance to the underground parking (under Warren Hall). The easiest way to get to Tolman from the parking lot is to walk back to Oxford St. Turn right (north) until you hit Hearst. Turn right (east) on Hearst. Walk one block; Arch Street will be on your left and Tolman on your right. The shortest way is to exit the parking lot up on the ground floor and walk east on the path between the Genetics Building and Koshland Hall. (See Tolman, Transit & BEAR Map).
The Central Berkeley BART station is located on Shattuck St. Walk west, towards the campus, (on either Center St. or Addison St.), until the street dead ends at Oxford St. Turn left (north) until you hit Hearst Ave. Turn right (east) on Hearst. Walk one block; Arch Street will be on your left and Tolman Hall on your right. You can't miss it. Or, take the convenient Bear Transit Shuttle (50 cents). The stop for lines C, P, and R, which all go by Tolman, is located on Berkeley Square, between Center St. and Addison St. Tolman is actually two buildings attached over a breezeway. The east wing is the one you want: Education (west is Psychology). The Education wing has two entries on two levels. The 1st floor entry is under the breezeway and leads you to the administrative offices. The second floor entry leads to the Ed Psych Library, and is on the east side of the wing. 2515 Tolman is on the second floor, across from the (superb) library; behind the elevator.
